Donation Center

Our donation and recycling center offers great ways to support the Mission by accepting the following items:

  • Clothes, towels, blankets, sheets, and shoes in any condition
  • Metal/aluminum
  • Small household items in working order
  • Cardboard
  • Paper/shredded paper
  • Books/magazines
  • Furniture in salable condition (excluding couches/loveseats/mattresses/box springs/bedframes)

You can find the center at 112 Elijah Street (located behind our main facility off King Street), open Monday to Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Feel free to drive up, and our staff will assist with unloading your car.

If you are interested in donating your furniture to the Martinsburg Union Rescue Mission, we can make arrangements to have it picked up. Please know a couple of things about our furniture pick-up policy:

  • We do not accept couches, love seats, entertainment centers, mattresses/box springs, bed frames, large appliances, or pressed wood / Sauder furniture.
  • All furniture picked up must be in resalable condition. Our driver will make this determination when he arrives for the pickup.
  • Furniture must be the majority of what is part of the pick-up. We will pick up other items (clothes / small household items, in-date food) as part of the initial furniture pickup.
  • Our pickups are done Monday – Thursday between 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM within a 15-mile radius of our Martinsburg facility located at 608 West King Street.
  • We are currently scheduling a month out for pickups.

If you have an item that will fit into the parameters of the above, please fill out the form below and our pick-up coordinator will contact you.

Please make sure you leave a number where you will be able to reach Monday – Saturday between 8:00 AM-4:00 PM, as these are the hours our coordinator is in the office.

If possible, please include a picture of the item(s) to be picked.

If this is not possible, please provide as many details as possible of the item(s) to be picked up.

Thank you!
